2014 Estate Pinot Noir
2014 was the first in a string of warm growing seasons in the Northern Willamette Valley. From bud break through harvest, we saw an almost ideal growing season that produced a near record quantity of exceptional, balanced fruit. Spring came a couple weeks earlier than normal and was generally dry and warm. The good weather continued through the summer and gave us one our earlier harvests — September 27th.
The resulting wine is ripe, rich and deeply concentrated while retaining the elegance and bright aromatics that make Oregon Pinot Noirs so drinkable. The wine has aged gracefully, and is drinking beautifully now and can be enjoyed for at least another ten years.
